Hold On To Your Seat is getting Italian treatment

Widenn Content has secured a deal with Magnolia for a local version of the program in Italy.
 
The quizz show format created and produced by Paris-based production company 
Effervescence
 is currently on its 13th season in France, daily broadcast, on France 2. 

The format has previously been adapted in various countries like Turkey, Ukraine and Japan where 3 seasons were broadcast. The show is also under option in India where Endemol is pitching it to local broadcasters.

Its key factor of success is its serial format akin to the suspense in daily soaps: the audience is hooked by the developing episodic story line and is rooting for each successful champion as his coveted seat is challenged day after day.", comments Simone Harari Baulieu, CEO of Effervescence.
